WHAT IS IT?​

Air gun shooting is a very good introduction to the sport of target shooting with many members having started on air gun then wishing to advance their skills through the more exacting and accurate form of .22 small bore prone shooting.

 

We have a wide range of rifles and pistols for use by our membership enabling involvement without the expense of buying their own. Most will eventually want to acquire their own equipment but initially it is good to have access to our stock.

 

Our air gun disciplines are currently:

 

• 10m air rifle standing

• 10m air rifle benchrest (sitting)

• 10m air pistol standing

• 20yd air rifle benchrest using scopes

• 20yd air pistol standing

 

Our county association and National body run competitions in all these disciplines.

The range is equipped with electric target changers making the use of the firing point very flexible without the need to go forward to the targets.

​

We currently use lead pellets for all our air gun disciplines and these are available for purchase from the club
