A true test of concentration and consistency, this is target shooting at paper targets using rimfire rifles with high velocity ammunition at .22 calibre from the prone position. Shooting at distances of 25yds and 50m on our indoor range using national standard targets.
Air gun shooting is a very good introduction to the sport of target shooting especially suited to junior members who want to try the sport of target shooting. The sport involves the use of .177 calibre air pistols and air rifles firing lead pellets at paper targets from both the standing and sitting position at distances of 10m and 20yds.
​This is target shooting with air rifles while sat at a bench with the rifle stock supported on an adjustable rest. This offers opportunities for a wider range of abilities including juniors and more senior shooters who may struggle with either prone or standing shooting. There are recognised local and national competitions for shooting from a bench at distances of 10m and 20yds.
